The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is holding a Community Clean Up at G. Ross Lord Park! They need your help to pick up litter around the community to create a healthier environment, while also learning about the impact that microplastics and litter can have on our watershed. Garbage bags, litter pickers, and gloves will be provided.
The event will start at 1:00 PM on October 23, 2021 at G. Ross Lord Park - Harryetta Gardens, 170 Torresdale Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M2R 3E3 Canada
Keep in mind, registration is required for this event, and walk-ins will not be accepted. Registration includes sharing your contact information for contact tracing purposes, signing a waiver and completing a self-assessment for COVID-19. A link to the events waiver will be emailed to you upon registration.
The event will run rain or shine, but will be cancelled if there is a greater than 70% chance of thunderstorm or other hazardous weather. If you have registered with this event, you will be emailed by 9:00am, the morning of the event in case of cancellation.
Please arrive on time and prepare for outdoor work. Wear closed-toed shoes, face mask, hat and sunscreen. Also, bring rain protection, sun protection, reusable water bottles and snacks.
