Jane Finch Tennis brought the community together on several occasions this summer through tennis tournaments, fitness workshops, and socials. As families prepare for school, Jane Finch Tennis is excited to begin supporting students through their various programs!
The organization’s after-school program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the duration of the school year from 5 - 8 PM. Programming is open to everyone between 12 - 24 and is free of cost.
The program aims to create opportunities for physical activity, increase academic success, and develop professional skills. Programming is divided, with time allocated for academics and physical activity. Participants will receive homework and exam support, as well as guidance to improve vital study skills. Participants take part in structured tennis activities in various team-based settings, led by the organization’s certified instructors. These activities promote the development of life skills.
Additionally, youth are provided with snacks and workshops. During the 2022-23 program, youth learned the principles of project management and business development in relation to equity. With the help of MBA Students from the Schulich Business School at York University, students designed, organized, and delivered a project for their community.
Jane Finch Tennis’ after-school program is just one of many programs the organization has to offer! Join their newsletter to receive updates on this and other programs and events, including their Winter League, Girls Development Program, Boys League, and Summer League.
