DONATE NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS & HELP
FIGHT HUNGER FOR NEEDY FAMILY’S!
Yorkgate Mall in partnership with The Downsview Advocate has officially launched its 2nd Annual Fighting Hunger - Food Drive in support of North York Harvest Food Bank.
On Saturday, December 9th and 16th, 2023, visitors to Yorkgate Mall are asked to help fill a food donation bin located at our events table (near BMO), with much-needed non-perishable food items. Everyone who donates will receive a FREE Yorkgate Mall Holiday pen.
“With support from our shoppers, our retailers, and local agencies, this program will help make a difference in the lives of thousands of families,” says Chris Couch, Marketing Associate at Yorkgate Mall. “As the need in our community continues to grow, we are asking for the public’s help with this year’s Food Drive. Our goal is to fight hunger and help feed as many needy individuals and families in our community as possible”.
Non-perishable food items needed for North York Harvest Food Bank include: rice, dried pasta, tomato sauce, baby formula, cereal, canned meat, vegetables, soups, stews, peanut butter as well as refrigerated items milk, yogurt, fruits, vegetables, frozen goods, fresh bread and eggs. North York Harvest Food Bank will distribute the donations throughout the fundraising drive.
Yorkgate Mall, located at Jane and Finch in Toronto, Ontario, offers over 60 stores and services under one roof including No Frills, LCBO, IDA Drug Mart and Toronto Public Library.
