Children require various supports and new experiences to reach their full potential and youth in Ontario are no exception. However, many lack these key opportunities and resources to explore their communities and maximize their potential. The Children’s Breakfast Club (TCBC) is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that has been serving thousands of Ontario youth for over 30 years through more than 27 program divisions across the province.
TCBC doesn’t stop at breakfast. They work hard with community partners to ensure the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children are being met through the delivery of programming and services. TCBC aims to provide opportunities to youth that they may not have had otherwise and utilizes constant feedback from participants to inform upcoming opportunities as the organization seek to meet youths’ current challenges. Major events of this year include the Backpack Giveaway, Prom Project, Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign Kickoff, and Black History Month Trip to Ottawa.
TCBC, in collaboration with Toronto Police, Peel Police, and other local supports, worked with youth in the TCBC Driving Program to provide personalized support to empower participants to obtain their G1 license. This is key as it serves as an asset on resumes, as well as develops self-esteem.
You can support TCBC through financial contributions or donations of items on their wish list, including various food, equipment, and supplies. Volunteers are vital in the maintenance of the program, as they dedicate their skills, time, and knowledge to our youth. They have a first-hand look on the impacts they are having on our next generation. The Children’s Breakfast Club (TCBC) has and continues to be a key part of our communities.
